    THIS is a documentary that looks at Viking Life. Most of the historical information was originally made for broadcast on the History Channel and for use in schools.  This video on this page is played in Real Video format     and but if you do not have Real Player, to see this, please use our Flash version of this program click here now.

THE Vikings settled in the area around 902AD. The Viking that settled in Formby where Norsemen, meaning they came from Norway as opposed to the Danes which came from Denmark. The footage taken at the Formby Festival in 2000 on the sand dunes and on Formby Point.  The festival was part of the Celebrations for the New Millennium and started a series of events held over 2 more years at the same location.    At the end of the Documentary a short bit of footage has been added about the event.  The footage was shot by local television film group HTV and PCBT Photography.
